A memory about... Sister Horn (my merry miss teacher)
My bishop was wise enough to know the wisdom an older teacher could impart was a treasure. At age 11, being a merry miss was something I had been looking forward to. The teacher was a twenty something, young married, beautiful sister in my ward. Wouldn't you know it, just as I was ready to move to her class, our bishop released her. Sister Horn was called to her position. She wasn't twenty something, she was old. She wasn't young married, she was a widow. She was beautiful though, in a different sort of way. Though at first disappointed, I grew to love her dearly. She taught us how to knit. She had us over to her house regularly, just for fun. She was calm and loving and just what I needed. Bless that bishop for thinking outside the box.
