On Fridays Addy comes to my house to spend the day. I love it. Today she walked right in, said good bye to her mom and was off to find her little friends. It is funny how the addition of one person changes the dynamics of a whole group. The kids love her and her cousin Abby is very protective of her. I cherish these days , thanks Andrea for sharing her with me.

I loved the storm that we had the last couple of days. Every blog I have read lately has been nothing but boo hoo's about the weather. Don't worry guys it will be 102 degrees soon enough. A snow storm this late in the spring means the snow probably won't stick and if it does it will melt in one second flat as soon as the sun peeks out. Relax everyone!

So I admit it. It was me who sent a pair of scissors home with Abby. I just read Crystal's blog where Abby took her mom's scriptures and hid in her room. When Crys found her, Abby had snipped all the ribbon book marks off. They are scattered all over the floor around her. Oops I'm sorry.

What an experience ! Today at 7:30 am. Miguel and I went to the Salt Lake County Democratic convention to cast our votes for the precincts that we represent. It is official Sim Gill is the Democratic representative for district attorney. Most of the other positions were uncontested races. What a fun and different date to have with my husband!

Quesadia. Most people know of this as being a flour tortilla stuffed with cheese. In El Salvador it is something else. It is a cake like pastry and our family loves it. Tonight I am baking one and it smells so good. Funny how a certain smell can make you feel so good. Usually,(even now) if Andrea is around she gets to lick the bowl. There is nothing that makes Miguel happier than when I make this treat for him. I think I better go check it now !

GREAT TEAMWORK! Today Crystal and Andrea took Chelsea shopping at the mall. I hate the mall. So I stayed home and played with Abby and Addy. The 3 sisters found the perfect prom dress for Chelsea and all the accessories. It couldn't be more perfect. As for us who stayed home, we enjoyed the beautiful spring day outside. We had a snack on a blanket on the grass and played until our hearts content. Good work team.

Miguel and I went to the Spanish caucus,"meet the candidates" meeting tonight. It was so interesting. It really illustrated to me you just can't peg hole an entire group. The hosting group did a good job of putting the event together. It was a real honor to be able to speak face to face with the great people who are asking for our vote.

Today I watched," Gidget Goes Hawaiian" with Crystal and Andrea. While you catch your breath from laughing so hard, let me explain. When they were little , for some reason, they loved that movie. I don't know why, there was no logical explanation. For whatever reason it has become like "comfort food" to us. So today the 3 of us snuggled into a silly but reassuring, fluffy movie called Gidget.

Andy and I went to visit Jamie and her family tonight. She has the cutest new baby girl. Her name is Ashley. Someone mentioned that they feel a little guilty because of Crystal loosing her baby. Don't. Just feel blessed and lucky and grateful. Our family will be fine. We have the ever so wise Crystal showing us, through her example how to handle hard experiences.

Tonight Miguel and I went to meeting at the downtown library. It was a training to be a chair person for our Democratic Precinct. CAT'S OUT OF THE BAG NOW! Yup, I said democratic. I don't agree with everything they stand for, but with a daughter who is a teacher and various other reasons, they speak to alot of my concerns. I know I am not the only one out there, be brave, it's time to "come out".

I am super tired tonight. Had a full group here today, and they wore me out! Some of the older kids, who I used to tend, came today. They are out of school for spring break. It was fun to see how much they have grown, and how much they are still the same. We still have a connection. Like I said before... I love my job.

What a fun Easter/ birthday for Steve/ conference, weekend. Chelsea and I woke up and ate our hot oatmeal with raisins and cinnamon, while watching the first session of conference. Then it was time to prepare for our egg hunt for the girls. We celebrated Steven's birthday with a delicious brunch Andrea had prepared. Time for the second session, then cake and ice cream. Thanks for making it happen Andrea!
